The total price and applicable payment conditions are displayed to the Client before the booking is confirmed.

Unless otherwise expressly agreed, payment is required in order to confirm the booking.

Payments may be made using the payment methods offered during the booking process, including major credit cards and, where expressly agreed, bank transfer.

A booking confirmation and/or invoice is sent electronically to the Client after confirmation of the booking.

If the Client does not receive confirmation, the Client should contact HIDDEN GEMS at contact at paristoversailles.com.

HIDDEN GEMS is responsible for the proper performance of the travel services included in the booking in accordance with applicable French law and, where applicable, Articles L.211-16 et seq. of the French Tourism Code.

HIDDEN GEMS may be exempted from all or part of its liability where it demonstrates that the failure or improper performance is attributable to the traveller, to a third party unrelated to the provision of the travel services and is unforeseeable or unavoidable, or to exceptional and unavoidable circumstances, as provided by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude or limit any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under French law.

We understand that plans can change unexpectedly, and we strive to accommodate our clients as best we can. To ensure transparency and fairness, we have developed the following cancellation policy:

Notification of cancellation is required via email on contact @ paristoversailles dot com. While we empathize with unforeseen circumstances, please note that 100% refunds are not possible due to the expenses incurred in preparing for your tour. These include fees to our booking system and bank, advance ticket purchases to museums, and administrative costs.

In the event of a cancellation, we will make every effort to reschedule your tour, subject to our business practices and availability of guides and tickets to Museums. Please be aware that rescheduling may incur an additional charge to cover new ticket reservations. However, if the original reservation is missed or skipped, we reserve the right to charge the full price for new tour reservations.

We also reserve the right to deny rescheduling if the notification is received less than 10 days before the tour start time.

The following cancellation conditions apply:
Change in Number of Participants – Refund Policy: If the number of participants changes after the booking has been confirmed, we unfortunately cannot offer a refund for the individuals who choose not to attend the tour. This is because we must purchase non-refundable tickets in advance (museums, monuments, etc.), and we also incur fixed fees from payment processing and booking systems, which are likewise non-refundable. Neither the museums, the banks, nor the reservation platforms provide partial refunds in such cases. Price differences between, for example, 3 and 4 participants or 5 and 6 participants, are primarily due to these fixed costs for entrance tickets and transaction systems, rather than our guiding fees.

Cancellation of the Entire Tour – Refund Policy:

More than 4 weeks before the tour: A minimum of 25% of the tour price is non-refundable. Exceptions apply for our exclusive tour: (Hidden doors to Versailles, Normandy tour, Champagne tour and VIP Eiffel tower tour, where the non-refundable portion will be higher to cover museum tickets, transport booking, and payment system fees – 70% non refundable)
28 to 10 days before the tour: A minimum of 50% of the tour price is non-refundable.
9 to 1 day before the tour: 100% of the tour price is non-refundable.
No-show: 100% of the tour price is non-refundable.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to these policies, which allow us to continue providing exceptional service and experiences to all our clients.

In accordance with applicable French consumer law, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply, in particular, to contracts for accommodation other than for residential purposes, transport of goods, car rental services, catering or leisure activities where the contract provides for a specific date or period of performance, in the cases provided for by Article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code.

Consequently, where the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to the booked service, cancellations are governed by the cancellation conditions set out above.

Neither party shall be liable for a failure to perform its contractual obligations where such failure results from exceptional and unavoidable circumstances as defined by applicable French law.

The affected party shall inform the other party as soon as reasonably possible.

The consequences of such circumstances, including any right to cancellation, refund, price reduction or alternative arrangements, shall be determined in accordance with the mandatory provisions of the French Tourism Code and other applicable laws.

Where a service has already been partially performed, any refund or compensation shall take into account the services effectively provided and the applicable statutory provisions.

In accordance with the French Consumer Code, after first attempting to resolve the dispute directly with HIDDEN GEMS, a consumer may refer the dispute free of charge to the consumer mediator designated by HIDDEN GEMS.

Failure of either Party to insist upon strict performance of any provision of this or any Agreement or the failure of either Party to exercise any right or remedy to which it, he or they are entitled hereunder shall not constitute a waiver thereof and shall not cause a diminution of the obligations under this or any Agreement. No waiver of any of the provisions of this or any Agreement shall be effective unless it is expressly stated to be such and signed by both Parties.

The laws of France govern these terms and conditions. By accessing this website and using our services you consent to these terms and conditions and to the exclusive jurisdiction of the French courts in all disputes arising out of such access. If any of these terms are deemed invalid or unenforceable for any reason (including, but not limited to the exclusions and limitations set out above), then the invalid or unenforceable provision will be severed from these terms and the remaining terms will continue to apply. Failure of the Company to enforce any of the provisions set out in these Terms and Conditions and any Agreement, or failure to exercise any option to terminate, shall not be construed as waiver of such provisions and shall not affect the validity of these Terms and Conditions or of any Agreement or any part thereof, or the right thereafter to enforce each and every provision.

The Terms and Conditions applicable to a booking are those accepted by the Client at the time the booking is confirmed. Subsequent amendments shall not apply retroactively to previously confirmed bookings unless expressly agreed by both parties or required by law.
